Route Part A: Spain and the Pyrenees
The 1st part of the trip is about arriving in Europe, finding my feet in Spain and eating Paella in the streets of Barcelona. Some admin too, like getting a local data package, getting fuel for the stove and getting the bike rigged.
From Barcelona, I’m heading North, into the foothills of the Pyrenees and onto the N260…by all indications a spectacular road which links the Atlantic Ocean on the West to the Med on the East. It more or less hugs the mountain range, which is sure to make for HARD riding.

I’ll travel West up to Ainsa, from where I swing hard right and straight into the mountains. My 1st base camp will be in Laruns, France from where I’ll do a quick loop, before heading East again and taking in the Aubisque and Soulor climbs in a single day…on a loaded bike…
The section ends with an exploration day to take in the epic climb to Lac de Cap de Long.
